I am a psychologist,
psychoterapist and developmental trainer
I am a psychologist, a psychotherapist and a developmental trainer. I provide short- and long-term individual therapy for adults and adolescents (from 16 years of age) within Gestalt approach. I also provide developmental workshops for women and other target groups.
I work with persons that:
- experience difficulties in their life and relationships (stress, sleep disorders, problems in relationships with their partners, family or other people)
- suffer from mood disorder, depression, anxiety, guilt
- suffer from physical afflictions which cause they cannot recognise
- need support in a crisis situation (mourning, break-up, being a victim of violence – also in the past) or in a moment of major change in life
- simply need support in personal development,
- I also have experience in work with parents who seek psychological support and psychoeducation
I provide psychotherapy in Polish and in English.
I believe that contact with another person has a healing quality. I believe that Gestalt therapy is such type of contact: providing respect, sincerity, acceptance and support. It allows for understanding and accepting oneself as he or she is, enables to reach for one’s own resources, which the person was often unaware of. This results in making them able to rely on themselves and making a change in life. Gestalt therapy is useful not only in case of various disorders, but also for those that want to develop and fully realise their potential. The main assumption of Gestalt therapy is focusing on the current problem, on what is happening “here and now”. I believe in effectiveness on Gestalt therapy following my own experience, including being a client.
I have developed my skills as a psychotherapist and a trainer during a 4-year training at the Gestalt Therapy Institute in Cracow. Prior to that, I have graduated from psychology course at the at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I have built my professional experience working, among others, at the Psychiatric Warden at the Bielański Hospital in Warsaw, Domestic Violence Victims Centre “DOM” and at “Mamy Wołomin” Foundation for families. I have co-run developmental groups and workshops, including “I, WOMAN” workshop. In my psychotherapeutic practice I follow the Code of Ethics of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy. I work under supervision.
